The urban legend is that this was recorded by the friend of a guy that was tripping balls in a closet. Dan deacon says that’s untrue. Whether or not this is the case, it still created a hugely successful internet meme and a whole slew of new phrases to throw into the vernacular for incessant quoting at parties. Don’t like lighthouses? You suck.
