The impressive thing — the voice you hear isn’t the girl on camera — rather, it’s her white friend.

I’d hate to ruin the experience by telling you what the campaign is for.

It’s a bit long, but definitely sweet.

No… this is not cute. But it is viral.

by on Feb.21, 2012, under Music

So, you’ve all heard the Nicki Minaj song, or seen the video.
What makes this viral isn’t their song selection, but rather their song selection.

That sounds like a typo, but i assure you it is not.

Spiderman Saves NYC from Rising Sea-Levels

by on Feb.21, 2012, under Design, Science & Nature

Global warming and rising sea levels pose a serious threat to Lower Manhattan, and some experts believe that rising waters could affect New York more than any other city in the world. The impending flood, be it from a storm or rising sea levels, has many architects thinking of viable solutions to save our great city. Two architecture students from the University of Pennsylvania, Tingwei Xu and Xie Zhang, think the solution is to build an elaborate lattice work bib on the shorelines of Downtown. The duo have designed an extensive membrane system that would guard the bottoms of Lower Manhattan buildings from messy floods.

Small Penis Rule

by on Feb.10, 2012, under Literature

The “small penis rule” is an informal strategy used by authors to evade libel lawsuits. It was described in a New York Times article in 1998:

“…For a fictional portrait to be actionable, it must be so accurate that a reader of the book would have no problem linking the two,” said Mr. Friedman. Thus, he continued, libel lawyers have what is known as “the small penis rule.” One way authors can protect themselves from libel suits is to say that a character has a small penis, Mr. Friedman said. “Now no male is going to come forward and say, ‘That character with a very small penis, that’s me!’ “[1]

The small penis rule was referenced in a 2006 dispute between Michael Crowley and Michael Crichton. Crowley alleged that after he wrote an unflattering review of Crichton’s novel State of Fear, Crichton libeled him by including a character named “Mick Crowley” in the novel Next. In the novel, Mick Crowley is achild rapist, described as being a Washington-based journalist and Yale graduate with a small penis.[2]
