Since the dawn of time, man has come up with quirky ideas, committed tirelessly for hours to perfect them and get one good take on video. The Rube Goldberg Honda Commercial, the Mentos & Diet Coke experiments, and this one, which features a radio-controlled car, a lot of bottles, and a video game theme song that harkens back to my youth.

Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There’s some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

Ostrich-lovers may want to skip this one. Watch The Onion’s satire of first-person shoot-em-up games, complete with a great impression of their supposedly sophomoric plots.
