Annoying Facebook
by Locke on Oct.17, 2011, under Internet, Technology
How to annoy the employees of FACEBOOK: A step-by-step tutorial.
1. Open this site:
https://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=data_requests
2. Enter your personal information
3. Make a reference to the following law:
“Section 4 DPA + Art. 12 Directive 95/46/EG”
DPA is a british law called “Data Protection Act” from 1988
4. Click on SEND
FACEBOOK HAS TO send your data within 40 days as this is your personal right following Art. 12 fromt he European Data Protection Directive. You will most likely find out that FACEBOOK knows more than it should! And you’ll also see that FACEBOOK doesn’t delete your data the way it should! And now to the annoying part: They will have to send you a CD-ROM with your data on it. Imagine them burning billions of CDs…

Just like modular synthesizers, people connect with each other in order to achieve diverse objectives. In Voltage, robots, half-human and half-synthesizer, powered by a huge amount of energy, connect to each other in an electric and chaotic trance. Directed by: Filippe Lyra e William Paiva

This little number was sent to me by three different people this week and, while I didn’t think it was too spectacular, I figured that the sheer number of people that were forwarding it on showed the real power of viral marketing.
